Recommended treatment

For the florist:
Optimal temperature during transport and storage: 2-5° C.
Shop:  
- Optimal storage temperature 2-5° C.
- Store the hyacinth in clean water. Refresh the water every 2 days.
- For use in bouqets, "pre-water" the hyacinth.
- For use in a bouquet with oasis, make a hole in the oasis using for instance a corer.
- Do not remove the bottom of the stem. This bottom stimulates the water absorption, and thus the blossom.
- Rinse the stems thoroughly before putting the flowers in the water.
 
For the consumer:
 •  Use a clean vase and refresh the water every 2 days.
 •  Use a high vase. Hyacinths continue to grow and the flowers become heavier as they blossom. A high vase will support the flowers.
 •  Do not remove the bottom of the stem. This bottom stimulates the water absorption, and thus the blossom. Also the flowers will develop their colour better. 
   •  Rinse the stems thoroughly before putting the flowers in the water.
   •  Special nutrition for flowers is not needed, but will also do not harm.
